Efile service providers will have the capability to electronically submit the Form MR-69, Authorization to Communicate Information or Power of Attorney, to Revenu Québec.

To use this web service you must complete:

  • The Quebec MR-69 efile setup,
  • The MR-69 form,
  • The keyword Efile-MR-69,
  • The keyword MR-69-PDF-Attach by scanning and attaching the signed MR-69 pdf form, and
  • The keyword Additional-Attach if you wish to electronically submit an additional attachment.

Note: You can manually enter the Efile-MR-69 keyword within each eligible MR-69 client file or have it automatically entered by DT Max. To apply it automatically, please select the option Insert the Efile-MR-69 keyword (to complete line 60) within all eligible MR-69 clients found within the Quebec MR-69 efile setup.

A maximum of 2 attachments can be submitted (i.e. The MR-69 Form and the one additional attachment). Each attachment must have a unique file name which does not exceed 60 characters and must not include accented characters, special characters, or spaces. The total size of both attachments cannot exceed 25 megabytes.

The MR-69 attachment must have a pdf extension.

When an additional attachment is included the file name must include a pdf, jpg, or tiff extension.

From the Efile menu, clicking Quebec MR-69 e-submission and OK will transmit the MR-69 Form.

After you click OK, DT Max will automatically submit each MR-69 Form separately. The files will be processed in real time, meaning that the response will be almost instantaneous. The results can be viewed from the Results log or from within the client's file.

Please note that if the MR-69 e-submission was successfully received, DT Max will write the result into the Progress keyword group. If it was not, the error code will be written into the EfileMR69Error keyword.

The processing status can also be maintained separately within the Client List under the column Processing status - Other. You can enable Processing status - Other, from the DT Max Client List, by selecting it within Client list settings found underneath Preferences.

Please also note that Revenu Québec may perform additional post-processing of the MR-69 request even after having successfully submitted it electronically. We therefore suggest you access the portal, My Account for Professional Representatives, a few minutes after having successfully submitted the MR-69 mandate to confirm it has been activated. If it was not activated, then you must contact Revenu Québec.

IMPORTANT: PDF documents should not be password protected.

IMPORTANT: Please do not submit paper copies of the form unless requested to do so by Revenu Québec.
